The BNC Male to RP-BNC Female Adapter provides a direct interface between standard BNC female jacks and Reverse Polarity BNC (RP-BNC) male-terminated cables or equipment. Operating at 50 Ohm impedance, this adapter is used wherever standard BNC infrastructure must be connected to RP-BNC-equipped devices - a configuration encountered in select wireless networking equipment and specialized RF systems employing the reverse polarity BNC standard. The standard BNC male end features the classic bayonet coupling mechanism with a center pin, mating securely with any BNC female jack. The RP-BNC female end presents the reverse polarity configuration -  external threads with an internal male pin - which accepts RP-BNC male plugs. This adapter allows existing standard BNC cable plants and equipment to connect directly to RP-BNC ports without replacing cables or connectors.
